Scott MacIntyre's Rivalry with Danny Gokey

Scott MacIntryre is the feel good story to rival Danny Gokey. From the start MacIntyre has impressed the judges. His popularity soared early, especially on the internet, after Ryan Seacrest failed at high fiving this blind contestant. Last night, Scott MacIntyre sang a pitch perfect rendition of "Mandolin Rainby" by Bruce Hornsby. Although he is usually at best in front of the keys, the judges praised his performance. Seacrest and MacIntryre even connected on a high five this time.

Scott MacIntyre, Lil Rounds, and Jorge Nunez were the contestants America voted to advance to the Top 12 this week. These three will join Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, and Kris Allen.

Tatiana Del Toro (ugh), Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Jasmine Murray, Von Smith, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey (yay!), and Jesse Langseth will compete for the three remaining "wild card" positions in the top 12. Go Megan!
