Last night, Upright Cabaret (a place where Adam Lambert frequently performed before American Idol) held a special concert to celebrate his success.Adam was unable to attend the event, but phoned in to express his gratitude to everyone there!
Here's the transcript of what was able to to be made out from the phone call (from YouTube videos):
Producers: How's Alcatraz? That little place they have you locked up?
Adam: Alcatraz is a prison of love. I'm sorry I can't be there, it's for legal reasons.
Producers: It's illegal for him to be here.
Adam: I apoligize, you all know how it is. I love you all and I am completely honored by everything that you guys are doing for me. I can't believe it. It kinda freaks me out. And I love you all.
Producers: Adam, will you sing a little something? Like something you've done here at Upright maybe, either crazy, or i dunno, just a little song.
Adam: Here's a little thing for you. Can I sing something?
Adam sings!!! (I don't know the name of the song.)
Then everyone screams out, "HI ADAM LAMBERT!!!" Someone else screams, "You're f'ing hot!"
Adam: I really really appreciate this and I don't wanna be.
Producers: This is kinda creepy, I'm holding a microphone up to a phone. I've never had such a famous friend.
Adam asks who is there and they tell him some of the performers and Adam gets all cheery and excited.
Producers: You have a lot of friends here.
Adam: I really really appreciate this, I can't wait to share it with you guys.
Producers: We can't wait either. Will we all come back to see him come back here?
Cheers galore.
Producers: When it's legal again, when Simon Cowell doesn't have him wrapped up in his own crazy contract.
Adam: Oh he wants to live with us, it's okay.
Producers: So we have people here from New Jersey. If you can give a shout out to New Jersey and to Connecticut.
Adam: Holla New Jersey! Holla Connecticut!
Producers: And then of course we have to say holla to San Diego and Los Angeles. Hey Adam, we're wearing black nail polish.
Adam: I heard, I heard, that's amazing.
Producers: Yeah, and eyeliner.
Adam: I love you all.
Producers: We're going to let you go to bed because you've had a very long day. How many ford commercials did you shoot today?
Adam: Oh that's tomorrow.
Producers: That's tomorrow. Okay, well, we love you!
Adam: Alisan Porter is my idol, so get ready.
Producers: She didn't show up, she flaked out tonight. Randy Jackson called her in.
Adam: Is she singing?
Producers: Alisan Porter flaked out on us because Randy Jackson called her in to sing. That's a good gig.
Adam: You know she is pretty amazing.
Producers: Adam so we have two more performers tonight, one being shoshana bean the other being audra mae, so will you introduce them for us?
Adam: Oh of course.
Producers: All right go ahead.
Adam: Ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Shoshana Bean and Ms. Audra Mae!
