I love Adam and his fantastic voice. Don't love his album cover though. I was hoping for something along the line of the Details Mag pictures. I will buy his album, but just totally disappointed in the cover. Feel like a traitor saying this, because I am such a fan of his.
Have to agree with comments above re: disappointed in the cover and feeling like a traitor. LOVE Adam! Album Cover? Not so much.
Adam is visual and vocal ART. This is the BEST!!!!! sa
I really don't know if I like this cover or not. He looks like a drag queen, a very, VERY beautiful drag queen! Let's just say that it's definately Adam.
I'm a big fan, but this photo is too too pretty and will alienate some of his fans. It's too over the top and it was not at all necessary to go this far out on a limb for attention.
For a first album cover, it seems wrong. It would work on the back of a cover, or in some liner notes, but I am not thrilled.
Is there anyway the cover could be changed,or is it really too late. If Adam sees the negative reactions to the cover, maybe he will see if he can change it. Did not expect his look to be so feminine and drag queeney. He always says he is a Top, but this picture makes one think otherwise. I accept Adam's lifestyle and I don't judge him, but I am uncomfortable with this picture. Maybe he just has poor advisors in his inner circle that just yes him on everything. How sad for him. Don't want him to end up like Liberace with just old ladies following him.
Well, let's just say the straight guys won't be buying this album no matter how good the music is. Can't see them walking up to the counter to buy this album with that picture. Just wish Adam could try just to be a wee bit more mainstreamed. He said on a video during the tour once that he likes to "lean in a little" and shock, Hey Adam this is more than a little of leaning in. I bet your family was really surprised and I wish they had more influence on you.
Absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous! And it's an homage to all those 70's glam, Xanadu-inspired, kinda cheesy covers. . . it's BRILLIANT!!! Adam, you rock!!!
I think it's too gay.
LOVE Adam though.
Can we come up with something to influence Adam to change the cover? His sales may be affected.
Not what one would expect from an entertainer with all the years of experience Adam has. Doesn't make sense that he would want to turn off a lot of people with this strange fem picture. He was very manly on the tour, even with the over the top eyeliner and shadow. Hope the album is as great as people say it will be, but as for the album cover on a scale of 1 to 10 it is a one.
It is really bold cover. Adam is a very interesting artist, he's fearless & innovative. It's a double or nothing cover; if it works, he can do anything in the future. If it flops, he can still sing cos he's an excellent singer.
I think at this point Adam is only listening to himself and is not caring what the professional people around him are advising. How else to explain what I call a dumb move (album cover). He knows the people that flocked to see him on tour and bought his AI music on ITunes were not drag queens. He says he is a top and he dresses in really edgy masculine black clothes (hawt even with the eyeliner-which I love on him), so why go so over the top fem in this album cover? It makes no sense. He likes to shock just to shock I think or he is hanging out with Cheeks again. Oh well, this is a mistake.
there have been THOUSANDS of comments about this album cover. adam and his management are making all of the right moves in the p.r. dept. genius!
I'm sure that Adam thought through this well before he did it. He's got to lead HIS life and chart HIS path. Yes, the cover may turn some people off. But frankly, an album cover's never influenced whether I bought an album or not - I've always bought them for the music inside. It's fun when they're cool - but I don't sit around looking at them. I think everyone needs to chill. He's going to be judged on the quality of the music. I DO hope that the music itself is not over-produced. But it's HIS life - he gets to make the choices and then he has to live with the consequences - good or bad.
