11.11.09 Updates

Adam Lambert SuitMichael Slezak from EW reviews FYE snippets:

"“Music Again”: It’s no surprise this track was written by The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins, what with that crazy blast of falsetto and a beat that would make a 90-year-old church organist want to bang her head, and yet at the same time, it’s totally and distinctively Adam: Theatrical, super-sized, vocally effortless. Plus, the message (“oh you make me wanna listen to music again”) could just as easily reflect his fans’ feelings about the season 8 runner-up as they could Adam’s feelings about a new love relationship. If ya like it then you shoulda pressed “repeat” on it. I did! (And so did my mom!)"

The free KRADISON concert (brought to a lucky winning town by Ryan Seacrest) will take place on February 13, 2010. From MTV: "But thanks to "Idol" host and Prince of All Media Ryan Seacrest, your dreams could come true one more time. Seacrest launched the "Ryan, Rock My Town" contest on Tuesday, promising fans the chance to vote for a show in their hometown by the season-eight trio. Using the Demand It! widget — which greasepaint rockers Kiss used earlier this year to route their current tour — Seacrest is promising the city with the most votes a free concert." (If DC doesn't win, I might just have to go to wherever this concert takes place. Happy Valentine's Day, to myself!)

New article for Kradam fans from EOnline.. they text all the time! and he talked about the breakup with Drake Labry: "He's doing good," the American Idol winner, 24, told us yesterday at the People's Choice Awards nominations announcement. "He's obviously not completely happy about it, but I think it was just something that needed to happen.""

Adam went to a TV Guide party last night. Pics are here, here, and here.

What would you think of Adam as an actor?
“I hope acting’s in my future, yeah,” he said. “It is something that I’ve done a lot over the past eight or 10 years.
“If the opportunity came up and it was the right thing, I would love to be a part of a film. Right now, I am going to try to work on the album first. One thing at a time, right!”
I think that would be awesome!

Spin Magazine FYE Review: "The success of former American Idol contestants is measured not only by who helps them, but by what material they get and how well they make it their own. Everyone from Lady Gaga to Muse chips in here with perhaps the strongest, most flavorful batch of tunes to reach an AI vet, and Lambert's polymorphous vocal skills unite dancefloor strut and hard-rock pomp in a convincing glam package. Flamboyance with a fire underneath, this is mainstream glitz liberated by both guts and chops; the gay equivalent of gospel."

A contest to appear in a photoshoot with Adam.. Here!

EOnline Update: Lambert was spotted after the TV Guide bash hanging at Hollywood's Bardot nightclub. In addition to chatting with Samantha Ronson, I'm told he appeared quite cozy with "a blond model-like guy in his thirties."
