Greetings all! Sorry for the lack of updates the past couple days... nothing significant has really happened though, so, no worries!
Adam Lambert changed his name on Twitter today. He is now @adamlambert instead of @therealglambert! (He kept @therealglambert, though.. so no one could pose him. HA!!)

Inside TV: Adam Lambert's performance with KISS on "American Idol" was amazing. But I'm a little bummed you've been talking smack about him...
Simmons: I don't think I've been talking smack at all. In fact, if anything, I've been soft-peddling. He's enormously talented, best talent "American Idol" has had, but I think he killed his career because now the conversation is not about his talent but about his sexual preference. He's done. You're forcing people to deal with issues they may not be interested in. Life is unfair, and the masses don't all live in L.A.
and Adam was in attendance at the Adele show at the Hollywood Bowl a few nights ago! :]
Rolling Stone posted an article about the Idols reaction to hearing about the death of Michael Jackson here.. “I was singing ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and Lil Rounds ran into the room and whispered something into the producer’s ear. And we were all like, ‘What’s going on?’ ” Lambert says. “I kept singing and looked over at them with a confused look on my face and one of the producers mouthed to me, ‘Michael Jackson just died.’ I went, ‘What?’ and stopped singing. Everybody just stopped.” (I guess that means "Whole Lotta Love" is his fifth song for the tour!!)

06.27.09 Updates!
ahahahah Adam Lambert was mentioned on the Colbert Report the other night.. so hilarious.
There's an "exclusive interview" with Adam on this site. The interviewer tries to steal Adam's jacket and poor Megan Joy seems to be excluded from the shenanigans.
Caissie Levy (Former cast-mate of Adam's) talks a little about Adam in this interview:
Question: What was he like?
Levy: He's an awesome guy. He really is just how he comes off on TV. That's him, totally unique and totally at home in his own skin. He has this crazy voice and would go on for Fiyero and just blow the roof off the place.
Spider-man, the musical.. still expecting Adam to play the role of Spidey! "While that rumor mill churns, we still maintain that Adam Lambert will play Spider-Man on Broadway at some point. Whether that is in the opening night cast remains to be seen."

Interview with E! Online: One tidbit that has proved true is that the theatrical rocker is performing a David Bowie medley on the upcoming Idol tour, which kicks off July 5 in Portland, Ore. "The show's set list is in order of elimination. So I'm the second to last person in lineup, and we each have our own set. I'm closing with a Bowie medley that goes from 'Life on Mars" into 'Fame' into 'Let's Dance.' It's doing major justice to the original Bowie intention behind them, but we're adding synthy, dancey electronic elements to it. I'm wearing a custom-made blue metallic silver bomber jacket with tails and spikes and studs by Skin Graft. They've hooked me up with some really sick fashion."

Fox will be re-airing this season's Michael Jackson episode of American Idol on Monday night. 8 pm, be there or be square!
MTV article: The one person who definitely brought theatrics to the "Idol" stage week after week, Adam Lambert, promised the drama will be turned up when the tour starts. Lambert revealed that his outfits will include "studs, rivets and spikes."
Fox Phoenix article and video: "It's gonna be really high energy. The jacket that I'm wearing is like a show in itself you know, I'm really really into it," said Lambert.
About the chance to work with big name music acts, Lambert said, "There are opportunities left and right. Artists that I respect and honor are saying 'Hey you wanna do something together? An Adam look-a-like was spotted at American Idol Season 9 auditions in Chicago. I think there will be enough of these posers that show up to do an entire episode's worth of tryouts in January!! Didn't they hear? The show is looking for "originality" this time!! heh.

John Hecker, (CEO from the record company that's releasing Adam's pre-Idol "debut album"), is saying that Adam will be receiving generous portions of the CD's earnings.. "Hecker denied some fans' assertions that Lambert was being ripped off, saying the singer stands to make "a ton of money" through a royalties arrangement commensurate with deals for major artists. Lambert will not only receive songwriting royalties, but he also co-owns the copyrights with Wilshire, Hecker said."
and Good Ole' Perez Hilton just tweeted: "This just in Tweethearts! Exclusive to U: sources tell me Adam Lambert has just filmed a cameo for "Glee", set to air this fall."
That should be fun!

Here's a really cool idea if you're going to any of the shows on the Idols Live tour.. All of Adam's fans will be bringing blue glow sticks! So, if you want to do something extra to show your support for Adam, go to your local party store and pick some up before and take them to your concert!

E! News Interview (06.22.09)
Adam Lambert was featured on E! News earlier today.. here's a video of the interview :] Lady Gaga's producer, RedOne, is also included. They talk about what the album is going to be like and Adam talks about meeting Madonna too and some of the advice she gave him!
PS - Remember Jamar Rogers, Danny Gokey's bff? He apparently auditioned for Season 9 in Chicago today.. and got a golden ticket ;] Dear Jamar: Please don't sing "Hey There Delilah" again. Thanks!

"Lyrically I need my songs to be something I can relate to, and something that makes a statement but doesn't preach,' Adam Lambert says of what he wants to do for his post-'American Idol' album." This also includes a video of the Yahoo interview from a few days ago, in case you missed that..
Apparently, "Want" will be released to iTunes tomorrow.. "The much-discussed new single, “Want” by Adam Lambert will be available on iTunes beginning June 23rd, 2009. The song comes from a full album entitled On With The Show, which will be released by Hi Fi Recordings/Wilshire Records this summer. The vast majority of songs on the album were co-written by Lambert, in fact; eight tracks of the forthcoming eleven song album were penned by the artist. “Want” was produced by Malcolm Welsford with additional production by Mark Endert (Maroon 5, The Fray, Fiona Apple)." Will you supporting the pre-Idol debut CD from Adam? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

But he finally spoke out in a magazine he must have dreamt about appearing in his whole life."

Kiening has a new fan in Ashley Stafslien, 20, of Janesville, Wis., whom he met in line. "I watched his bags when he went to pee," she explains. Stafslien came straight from a friend's wedding to register to audition, in a full-length red satin gown.

Top 10 Finalists Prepare for Tour!
BURBANK, Calif. (AP) — In a small, unadorned studio far removed from cameras, spotlights and songs ending with an instant review, the top 10 "American Idol" finalists are getting ready for a nationwide tour.They're working on the intricacies of a group performance of "Don't Stop Believin'," with Matt Giraud and Scott MacIntyre singing and playing at dual pianos and the other eight, slouching comfortably on leather couches, adding their voices from the sidelines.
With so much behind them, and so much ahead, they manage to come across as friends who've gotten together for nothing more than a casual jam session.
"I'm not feeling the backup vocals," Danny Gokey offers at one point, after Adam Lambert notes that a transition in the reworked song is sounding awkward.
"I'm open to suggestions. It's very much a collaborative effort," responds musical director Dave Kochanski.
It's also, at least this morning, a relaxed one. At one point, Gokey delivers a full-blast note and, adding his own color commentary, declares the "crowd is in shock and awe." Later, the former Milwaukee church music director playfully exhorts the room, "If God's been good to you, I want you to say yeah!"
Kris Allen, the mellow Conway, Ark., contestant who came out on top, said he expects the tour that begins July 5 in Oregon to be a welcome contrast to the weekly show experience.
"The energy is going to be better on tour," Allen said, and it will be easier to loosen up and feed off the crowd's energy. And, he added, "no one's judging you."
"I'll be with my friends, have a good time. I'm really excited," he said.
There will be family as well as pals. Allison Iraheta, who at 17 must have an adult accompanying her, can count on her mother or sister being on hand. Lil Rounds of Memphis, Tenn., expects her husband and three children in visit her in a few cities. Same with Allen's wife, Katy, although "she's not following me around," he said.
At least three of the finalists will have more than the tour to think about: Allen, Iraheta and runner-up Lambert already have deals for albums.
How will Lambert, for one, manage to record and tour?
"You tell me," he responds, with an easy grin. "We're doing a lot of great preliminary work on the album right now. ... It's just double-duty, you know, multitasking."
He's co-writing material for the CD and is enthusiastic about working with RedOne, who's produced hits for Lady Gaga and Sean Kingston, as well as Greg Wells (his artist list includes Katy Perry, who played favorites on "Idol" by wearing a cape emblazoned with Lambert's name) and Ryan Tedder.
Lambert, whose powerful voice and glam style made him both an object of admiration and mystery during the Fox TV singing contest ("I know who I am" was the mantra he repeated to questions about his sexuality), said in a Rolling Stone cover story that he's gay.
During a break from the tour rehearsal, Lambert said although "I wear myself on my sleeve," he wanted to keep part of his life private as he introduced himself to the "Idol" audience.
"It's weird when you're all of a sudden thrust into the public spotlight. It's a hard road to navigate," he said, and "you have to protect certain parts of yourself and see how it's going to play out. ... I really wanted people to identify with my entertainment before my personal life. I wanted people to enjoy my performances and get on board."
"Now that some people have, I feel more free to become personal," he said.
Iraheta, who calls her "Slow Ride" duet with Lambert a personal "highlight" of the contest, said the pair, both of Los Angeles, have been talking about recording a song together.
"I'm definitely down for that ... that would be so much fun," Iraheta said with a grin.
She's also upbeat about something else: Getting rid of her braces.
"There's just one sucker, a tooth in the middle, that just doesn't want to get straight," she says. "But I'm just tired of the braces so I'm probably gonna get them out before we hit the first venue."

06.21.09 Updates
Happy Father's Day to Eber Lambert (and all the other daddies out there)! also, Happy Birthday to Kris Allen!I just read this super sweet interview with Leila Lambert (Adam's mom) from a couple days after the finale. She is so sweet, I love her!
Today is Kris Allen's 24th birthday! The Idols were in attendance at his party last night, which sounded like good times!!

Adam's Tour Set List:
In a series of recent interviews, Adam Lambert has been divulging his set list for the upcoming American Idol Live 2009 tour, set to kick off July 5th. Two weeks ago, he told interviewers at the Young Hollywood Awards that he would be performing a five song set and now we know what most of those songs will be.
He will be reprising his popular rendition of Mad World, as well as the Slow Ride duet with the always soulful Allison Iraheta.
Fans can also look forward to new performances, such as Starlight by Muse, which should be exceedingly awesome.
Finally, Adam will be closing his set with a three song David Bowie melody, including Fame.
In true Adam style, this set list sounds pretty glorious and uber-funky, and still leaves one song that remains to be uncovered. What should it be? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Adam says, "Back in 2005 when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else. I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on. I'm thrilled to be working with some of today's hottest songwriters and producers and can't wait for people to hear what my music really sounds like." in response to the release of "Want". The single will be released on an album titled "On With the Show" later this summer.Something else regarding the above: "John Hecker, CEO of Hi Fi Recordings, said the tracks were recorded in 2007 and 2008 before Lambert’s rise on the popular Fox singing competition. The album will be titled “On with the Show.”"We were presented with a business opportunity,” said Hecker. “We accepted because Wilshire Records had a long working relationship with Adam, and it resulted in excellent music that they had the rights to. The music has an audience, and it deserves to be heard. I think it’s great music. At the end of the day, from my perspective, we’re really helping Adam.”"

Perez Hilton posted this claiming it was going to be Adam's first single but... then he updated it saying the album will be released this summer and that the song was recorded before Adam was on American Idol.A Reality Rocks interview on Yahoo. Marilyn Manson: Adam Lambert Fan"I think Adam was a breath of fresh air, and I thought it was awesome that he was trying to bring Glam Rock to the Idol stage. I love that he isn't trying to follow the Idol path and that he's being an individual, which is what I'm all about. It was refreshing to see that instead of the usual manufactured pop ****. I loved his article on Rolling Stones, he's definitely got a career ahead him."

Apparently, someone hacked into a relative of Danny Gokey's Facebook.. there were pictures and rude comments.. it's all very sad and disappointing. and very un-Godly behavior from these so-called Christians. Just saying. I know, no one is perfect.. but aren't they supposed to love everyone?
I'm unsettled over this. I wish I hadn't noticed it right before I needed to go to sleep!

4:12 Adam Lambert: It is a bit early. I'm fond of the idea of taking a line from a song that's going to be on the album and taking the title from that. But it's still early. We're just starting the writing process. It'll be provocative, nonetheless.

4:13 Adam Lambert: I think it's a blend of many. I don't think that I fit into one category, so I am inspired by many different kinds of music, so I hope to create, like, a fusion.

As far as performing with any other singers, I have a huge list, but I think Lady Gaga would be a blast to perform with. She's innovative and brave and really, really fresh.

4:38 Adam Lambert: I've always really just found it fascinating, and when I first started reading about my sing, which is aquarius, I felt it was pretty accurate. Then, when I did my chart to find my rising and moon signs, I thought it was extremely accurate. And the more I do about other people's charts, I also saw they were very accurate. But I know we're a product of our environment, so that has to do with it, as well. We also tend to reflect the company we keep. So it's a little bit of everything.
4:39 [Comment From Beth] There are noticeable differences, mainly in melody, in some of your AI live and studio versions. Were the studio versions the way you originally intended to perform the songs on the show or were you making a conscious decision to present a distinct live version?
4:40 Adam Lambert: To be honest, a lot of the times when I sing, I have the basic melody that I rehearse with, then most of the time I just kind of improvise certain melody options and kind of go with whatever strikes me at the moment. I kind of like singing in a fly by the seat of your pants type of way. So when recording a studio version, we do multiple takes and I'll do it a bunch of different ways and the producers of the track pick what they like the best.

My father has his records and showed me some of the cover art and I was very intrigued by somebody in 70s rock that dressed the way he did. It was very cool and inventive. Then I discovered T Rex. I don't know how I found Velvet Goldmine, but once I saw it, I was obsessed with it. I thought it was a genius movie, both in plot and also, visually and musicially. In all elements it was just really cool.

4:42 Adam Lambert: It's been pretty gradual, so it wasn't like an overnight thing. I think the first time I dyed my hair balck, my mom was, like, "Whoa! Really dramatic." 4:41 Adam Lambert: Haha... I was aware of who David Bowie was. My father has his records and showed me some of the cover art and I was very intrigued by somebody in 70s rock that dressed the way he did. It was very cool and inventive. Then I discovered T Rex. I don't know how I found Velvet Goldmine, but once I saw it, I was obsessed with it. I thought it was a genius movie, both in plot and also, visually and musicially. In all elements it was just really cool.
4:41 [Comment From Kelly] Are your parents shocked by your physical transformation over the years?
4:42 Adam Lambert: It's been pretty gradual, so it wasn't like an overnight thing. I think the first time I dyed my hair balck, my mom was, like, "Whoa! Really dramatic." But I've always been playing dress-up, so I don't think it was really much of a shock to them to see me experimenting with the way I look.
