Adam has been tweeting a lot today! Check out what he has had to say so far:
"Good morning! Excited to finally meet Ellen! For the record: the insurance policy rumor is hilarious! (untrue)"
"Oh and please go get both Allison iraheta's and Kris Allen's videos and albums on iTunes! So proud of you both!"
"ellen:airing 2m.Singing 'whatya want from me'! AMA performance was a one time event. Goin in a new direction now. Focus back on the music."
"Don't worry friends: I'm still gonna be me. Always. W/o appologies. Just gonna experiment differently w how I present myself."
"I'm learning. :)"
"And thank you all for your kind and supportive tweets. Means more than you can imagine. It was a looong week. :)"
Personally, I am glad he is going to "focus back on the music". I think that all the theatricality of his AMA performance was unnecessary and distracted a lot of people away from his true natural talent of singing, so this makes me really happy! What do you all think??

GMA Performance Canceled (#ShameOnYouABC)
ABC has decided to cancel Adam's performance on their show tomorrow. This letter has been issued:
Adam will instead be peforming on The Early Show. "Adam Lambert will be performing on CBS's The Early Show tomorrow morning. Adam will be doing a special meet and greet in the plaza outside the studio following his indoor performance so fans are encouraged to gather at 59th and 5th."
I wonder what happened! If this is ABC's way of responding to all the complaints about his performance at the AMA's, then I am very disappointed.
NY Times response: "An ABC spokeswoman said, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”"
BOOOOOO :[ Bad move, ABC!
and now "Adam Lambert" and "#ShameOnYouABC" are trending on Twitter.

More AMA Performance Responses
Yahoo reports that ABC received 1500 calls complaining about Adam's performance last night: "The network characterized the response as "moderate." Before his performance, Lambert said that he wanted to break down a double standard that existed where female performers are often sexually provocative while men don't do it that often."The Zodiac Show: "One year ago, almost to the day, we saw Adam perform one of his original songs at an underground club in downtown LA, just trying to get his music out and be seen. Now he's closing the AMA's, has a hit album dropping (created in collaboration with the best songwriters/producers in the world)...all while staying true to his artistic integrity. This has happened because of the moves he's made. He is an artist on a journey, holding nothing back. We applaud and support him, and love watching him evolve without apology right before our eyes!"
Entertainment Weekly: "A day after the AMA broadcast, he’s all anyone wants to talk about, and his was the only performance worth considering in multiple ways. Conventional measures of “good” and “bad” went out the window for a few moments. Flouting convention: how rock & roll. Using TV instead of music as a way for a singer to maintain prominence: how pure pop."
The Star: "Lambert, who is openly gay, came out after the show with both barrels blazing, talking about "discrimination" if the pre-taped performance was edited. It wasn't."
MTV: "In addition to dragging a female dancer around by the ankles, pushing a male dancer's head into his crotch and simulating oral sex, walking a pair of male hoofers around like dogs on a leash, and furiously thrusting his hips at every opportunity, Lambert took a moment mid-song to fervently make out with (an allegedly straight) male keyboard player."
Rolling Stone: "“I think he’s just afraid and so is his management,” offered celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. “It’s difficult because he doesn’t have that many people to look up to. There are only a few openly gay successful pop stars.” Said Etheridge: “We in the gay community, we’re never happy. We want everyone to say we’re like everybody else, but then if someone doesn’t act like everybody else, we get mad. We kind of want it both ways. I know how it is in this industry and in the world. When you’re an out gay person, you take on a lot and you never ask for it.”"
A Few Tweets From Adam:
- Hope u had fun tonight! We did.
- All hail freedom of expression and artistic integrity. :) fans: I adore u.
- @PerezHilton Thank you for the support. It WAS a bit pitchy. Don't know what was goin on with the sound. Same thing always went down on idol
- @PerezHilton but I had a blast and am looking forward to my upcoming performances.

The AMA's (Pictures, Videos, Etc.)
This post will feature anything related to Adam Lambert that happens at tonight's American Music Awards. Check back throughout the evening for updates!! :]
Red Carpet Interview:

This is interesting....
@marcmalkin: "Very good source tells me that ABC and producers did NOT know adam lambert was going to makout w/keyboardist..."
The PERFORMANCE.
Reviews.
Rolling Stone didn’t label Lambert the Wild Idol for nothing, and Glambert definitely delivered on his promise of a “sexy” performance as he closed the live show with simulated oral sex from a male backup dancer, a brief makeout session with his male keyboardist and a giant mirrored prop so the audience could see the looks on their own shocked faces.
MTV: Adam Lambert loves to go glam every once in awhile (or always). And the singer's sleek, chic Elvis throwback look, complete with the King's hairstyle and a sharp suit, showed Lambert's cool sense of self.
Entertainment Weekly: "Adam’s AMA performance felt less like a genuine expression of his high-octane sexuality (so playfully erotic when he fondled the mic stand during “Whole Lotta Love” this summer), and more like a carefully planned stab at dominating the post-AMA blogosphere/water-cooler discussion. I’m certainly no prude…the idea of saucy boy-on-boy/boy-on-girl/boy-on-not-quite-sure action does not rattle my cage — certainly not at 10:55 p.m. on a school night. And yet, what’s sad is that unlike, say, a J.Lo or even a Rihanna, Adam could’ve had tongues wagging just from his vocals alone. Instead, that golden voice took a backseat tonight at the AMAs, and I’m not sure exactly who was occupying the driver’s seat."
MTV (different): "Spinning a female dancer around and then dragging her across the stage as he swiveled his hips suggestively, Lambert closed a night of eye-popping performances with a few sights that have likely never been seen on the AMA stage."
Examiner (negative): "He tripped. He rolled. He shoved a guy's face in his crotch. His hands were all over the crotch of one of his female dancers. Leather. Whips. S&M. And somewhere in the middle of all that he sang a pretty horrible song."
Another RS: "It’s a shame because I think that there’s a double standard going on in the entertainment community right now,” Lambert tells RS backstage after the show at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. “Female performers have been doing this for years — pushing the envelope about sexuality — and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. We’re in 2009; it’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them. My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."
Access Hollywood: "The racy performance may have been too much for ABC – during some portions of the performance, the camera cut away from Adam’s moves during the East Coast broadcast"
Neon Limelight: "Taking the stage with numerous backing dancers, he performed his new single For Your Entertainment. Those dancers would turn into his personal love slaves. Chains, vulgar grinding and kissing were all apart of Adam’s debut performance. With so many antics on board, Adam’s talent became lost in the mix. Shock value became the main objective of his big performance."
Wall Street Journal: "Lambert, not to be outdone, wore a silvery suit, with spikes on his left shoulder, to belt out the titular first single from his album "For Your Entertainment". As can be expected, the controversial performance — the last of the evening — was filled with plenty of writhing, groping, hip swiveling and S&M costumes. The singer even planted an intense smooch on one of his keyboardists."
Associated Content: "Was it entertaining? By all means. Lambert has a voice that won't quit. He exudes charisma like a higher-pitched Elvis. His humping and grinding and kissing may not have been sexy but it conveyed the message of the song, that the singer was no angel and he was there "for your entertainment.""
Huffington Post: "Lambert alternately had a dancer on a leash, had a dancer's head grinding against his crotch simulating oral sex, and had a hand on his own crotch. He also made out with a male band member and flipped his middle finger."
E Online: "OK, in Lambert's case, there was more than a bit of racy material as he mixed together a so-so song, some S&M imagery and a bit of simulated sex. Oh, and that juicy mid-song kiss, too."
Arjan: "And then there was Adam Lambert. He's a bit like a male Lady Gaga with his fine sense for theatrics. Tonight, the San Diego showman broke with his wholesome American Idol past for once and for all. In a frantic S&M inspired set, he strutted up and down the stage like a dominatrix focusing more on giving people a show to remember than on vocal perfection."
LA Times: "The energy felt good. Adrenaline is a crazy thing to feel," Lambert said to Pop & Hiss after the show. "That's what I love about performing. I'm hoping people were entertained. For those who weren't, maybe I'm not their cup of tea."
Yahoo: "I'm sure there are people who will say he's finally gone too far, alienated too many potential record-buyers with this latest "shocking" stunt, which actually may be his most shocking yet (and that's saying something). Some may argue that he was perhaps trying too hard to be controversial and scandalous for controversy and scandal's sake, or that maybe he was trying to make a statement about whether or not he is "gay enough" according to Out magazine standards (at least you can say this performance will shut up Out editor Aaron Hicklin for a good long while). And then, there was what appeared to be an actual, literal stumble."
Please leave your thoughts on the performance in the comments! (HE MADE OUT WITH TOMMY! WHAT THE......)

How Does Adam Feel About Twitter?
Entertainment Tonight asked Adam what he thinks of Twitter.. check out his response!!
Adam to Close AMA's Tomorrow Night
I've had confirmation from several sources that Adam will be the closing performer on tomorrow night's American Music Awards. The show will air from 8 pm - 11 pm on ABC. Are you ready for this?!
"Good luck to Carrie and Daughtry who are nominated at the American Music Awards this weekend. It promises to be an amazing night for 19’s talent with Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert all taking part. It will be Adam’s first post American Idol TV performance and he will be closing the show. The AMA’s are broadcast on ABC between 8-11pm PST on Sunday 22 November."

AMA Rehearsal Review
"For about five minutes, this reporter was allowed to write notes from a cushy blue chair in the audience during Lambert’s rehearsal, watching as dancers sashayed across the floor in spangly harem pants, leotards with torn tights and in one particular eye-catching costume, leather pants topped off with a few leather suspender-straps and silvery chains on an otherwise bare-chested male dancer. A Lambert performance, we were reminded, is not a place for demure displays of postmodern dance. As for the panther himself, he took a few leisurely leaps to various levels of scaffolding, singing into a phantom mic and writhing with whatever dancer was around. On the top level of the scaffolding, a band of indeterminate numbers played keyboards, a flying V guitar and other gadgets, all of which collude to formulate the glam-rock pyramid that Lambert mightily prays to on a seemingly daily basis."
That sounds epic! Read the rest of it here and be sure to watch the AMA's this Sunday night.
Q & A With Billboard
