PopSugar's Clips of the Year
Adam Lambert's little tumble at the AMA's made PopSugar's top 5 list of must see clips from 2009. Are we amused?
Adam Made Music Look Good This Year
Along with Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, and Bill Kaulitz, Adam Lambert made Neon Limelight's list of the top 5 artists that made music look good this year.
"If you tuned in to American Idol season 8 there were two thing you undoubtedly waited for if you were on Team Lambert: another amazing vocal performance and another memorable ensemble. Once Glambert left Idol behind, his personal style took centerstage and ran. Sleek suits, leather, spikes, heavy eyeliner, and slick hair are all apart of his fashion-forward arsenal and we love it."
We all knew he was stylish! Check out our new Facebook page (and become a fan of us!) to see some pictures of just how fashionable our guy can be! [[Pictures are in the process of being added, slowly, but surely.]]

Fox US Promo Featuring FYE
This Fox commercial for the upcoming new series of shows to premiere in January has "For Your Entertainment" playing in the background, and I think that is very exciting. I get more excited each time I watch this video (and it's been several times in a row already). "Who is Jack Bauer?" COME ON, MAN. How do you not know who JACK BAUER is?! (Sorry, sometimes I forget this is an Adam Lambert website. Oh well. Listen to the song and get stoked for American Idol too!)

R.I.P. Terri
Terri Sanvicente, a well-known fan of Adam Lambert, was murdered by her ex on Christmas Eve.
Her last tweet:
@GlitterAquarius: "@adamlambert Oh sooo Plucky to be seeing Gaga!! Have fun!"
Adam's tweet in response to her death:
@adamlambert: My thoughts are with the children and babysitter of Terri Sanvicent. Terri had so much joy to share. Light and love to her memory.
Article about what happened:
Media Responses to Adam's Tweets:
1: Sanvicente died on Christmas Day after Bouchard beat her with a crowbar in the same home as her babysitter and children. Bouchard was eventually arrested, but that doesn't make up in any way for the incident itself.
2: Our condolences go out to the family of Adam Lambert fan Terri Sanvincente, who died after reportedly being beaten with a tire iron by the father of her children on Christmas Eve. Jason Bouchard has been charged with capital murder in the woman's death.
3: While a Twitter post may seem minuscule in the grand scheme of things, any statement made by the right person can help bring attention to a cause. Hopefully Adam Lambert's message will encourage people to look up the tragic case of Sanvicente and increase their awareness of violence against women.
4: Adam Lambert lost a loved one this holiday season: His avid fan, Terri Sanvicente. Continuously bludgeoned by a tire iron wielded by her children's father the night before Christmas, this kind and caring person passed away early Christmas Day from the injuries sustained during that violent act.
A bunch of the fans are making donations to this women's center in Houston in honor of what happened. Please consider helping out, if you can!
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends of Terri Sanvincente. #RIPTerri!!

Article about what happened:
The man accused of beating the mother of his children with a tire iron could now face murder charges after his victim died overnight. Terri Sanvicente succumbed to injuries sustained after Jason Bouchard bludgeoned her and waited for police.
It all started Thursday in the 16,400 block of Sky Blue Lane in northwest Harris County. Police said Bouchard arrived at Sanvicente’s home and attempted to set it on fire.
The mother of three was home at the time with her kids and their babysitter.
As they were attempting to flee the house, Bouchard attacked Sanvicente with a tire iron.
The Babysitter tried to help, but after Bouchard hit her, she fled to another room with the kids. The babysitter said she could hear Sanvicente’ pleading for him to stop.
Bouchard then waited for police and was arrested without incident. The kids were taken into CPS custody.
Bouchard was booked into the Harris County jail for aggravated assault, but now the DA will determine if additional charges will be filed. They will have to refer the case to the grand jury.

12.19.09 Updates
Haven't done one of these in awhile.. consider it the result of a long snow day! (Feel free to let me know if I ever miss anything!)
Jesse McCartney wants to work with Adam Lambert: "I think he's so talented. I would like to work with him one-on-one and find a focus for him, 'cause he's dope," McCartney offered. "I feel like he tried to make a statement with what he did. I would really like to write something for Adam."
A psychology website compared Adam to Tiger Woods: "What do they share in common beyond celebrity? Among other things, the double-edged power of the persona or public image; the perils of image management turning on you like a hydra-headed viper; the merciless maw of celebrity gossip, and the media's penchant for cheerleading 'schadenfreude', that timeless and timely German term meaning to take pleasure from someone else's misfortune."
Adam came in at number 5 on The Hollywood Gossip's Celebrity of the Year list: "He started the year as an unknown; made headlines in February for his flamboyant acts; finished second on American Idol; and has to already be considered one of the most successful singers in the show's history."
A new video of Adam on The Daily 10 (from the E Channel):
A sexy preview for the New Years Eve 2010 Gridlock STARRING ADAM!

MTV Men Of The Year
Adam Lambert came in at number 3 on a list of MTV's Men of the Year! (scroll down for video)When season eight of "American Idol" premiered January 13, no one knew who Adam Lambert was or what he'd become. Sure, his first audition — he took on Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" — raised a few eyebrows, but in the early stages of the show, Lambert was outshined by the likes of Normund Gentle and that chick who wore a bikini. That all changed with a vamping take on Michael Jackson's "Black or White," a decidedly demure version of the Smokey Robinson-penned "Tracks of My Tears" and, of course, his now-legendary cover of Tears for Fears' "Mad World." Suddenly, improbably, Lambert — the theater kid with the 100-octave voice and the penchant for dangly jewelry — became the "Idol" front-runner. Of course, we all know how that turned out. Despite his defeat at the hands of Kris Allen in the season-eight finale, Lambert was unquestionably the biggest "Idol" star of the year, if not of all time. He graced magazine covers, pundits speculated about his sexuality — he was everywhere you looked. Post-"Idol," well, he just kept rising. In fact, Lambert was famous for all of 2009, which is why he comes in at #3 on our list. 2009 Highlights: Chances are, you're aware of his many on-air triumphs. But what about all the stuff that happened away from the cameras? For starters, he was the first "Idol" contestant in history to appear on the cover of a major magazine — in this case, Entertainment Weekly — while the show was still going on. He followed that up with a Rolling Stone cover story, in which he finally admitted he was gay. He stole the show on a nightly basis during the American Idols Live! tour, battled with a label that was planning to release early songs he co-wrote and began touting his proper debut, on which he teamed with Lady Gaga producer RedOne (and, ultimately, Gaga herself). In October, he premiered a delightfully over-the-top video for "Time for Miracles," the first single from the "2012" soundtrack. Then, in November, he began promoting his debut, For Your Entertainment, by closing out the American Music Awards with a shocking performance that featured nods to S&M, oral sex and some good old-fashioned guy-on-guy action. It was a display that rankled network censors (who cut out most of the graphic bits from the West Coast feed), created a firestorm of controversy and led to him being dropped from a scheduled appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America." For his part, Lambert didn't let the criticisms weigh him down. He refused to apologize for the AMA performance and worked very hard to continue the promotion for Entertainment, which would debut at #3 with sales of more than 198,000 copies (by comparison, "Idol" winner Kris Allen's debut sold a paltry 80,000 in its first week). And when he was targeted by Eminem on the song "Elevator" (which used a little bit of wordplay to hide a very ugly anti-gay slur), he let it roll off his back, telling MTV News that he "didn't take it personally." A lightning rod for controversy, a pop star bravely going where few have ventured (openly) before — Lambert was 2009. And we expect him to keep on pushing the envelope in 2010 too.
Exclusive Pictures and Interview From EW
Lambert on his expectations going into American Idol''I honestly didn't feel like I would get that far on the show. I thought, I'm not as conventional as American Idol usually likes. I just didn't expect the judges and the audience to be as supportive as they were. Week after week, when I got through, I said, 'Wow, this is, like, working out!' I didn't think I'd get to the end.''
On coming out
''I'm very comfortable with my sexuality, and very, very open about it, and have always been out, since I was out of high school. Then, when those pictures came out right before [the] Idol [top 36] started, and I was faced with the media asking me about them, I was like, What am I going to do, deny that they're me? But what I didn't want was to put a label on myself, because I think there may have been people in our country who might not have looked past that.''
''I think by not putting a label on myself, maybe it was helpful in letting people see past all that, past putting me in a box based on my sexuality. And then after the show ended, and after the competition was over, and I had made my mark, so to speak, I felt like then it was appropriate to talk about my personal life.''
On the fallout from the American Music Awards
''The thing I was disappointed about is that it did start to take the focus away from the music. Hindsight is 20/20. Hindsight is our best teacher, in my opinion. I was in the moment, I was just expressing a song, I was just having a good time. Then I heard the backlash, and I realized, OK, alright, I pushed a little too hard this time around. Maybe it wasn't the right second first impression. I can stand by that. But I don't really feel like I have to make an apology, because I don't feel like there was any wrong done. Maybe it's not just the most broadly appealing performance style. Let's put it that way.''
On an upcoming tour''I think it's probably going to be springtime. I've started talking to management about putting something together. I think it's not going to be a standard arena tour. I think we're going to do something a little different. My big goal is I want to create a show. I want to do something that's very visually dynamic, and is a little more interactive feeling than your typical arena tour. So we're looking at venues that are probably going to be a little smaller and a little more intimate.''
What he wears when he's hanging out at home''A full sequined jumpsuit! [Laughs] Obviously, there are all these photo shoots and appearances where I get all done up. I love dressing up, putting on eye makeup and over-the-top clothing. But when no one's looking, when I'm just kicking it with friends or family or by myself, I'm, like, [in] sweatpants, t-shirt, no eye makeup — except maybe what was on the night before.''
On his favorite entertainers of the year''Yeah, probably Lady Gaga. She just inspires me with her creativity and her out-of-the-box thinking. She's not afraid to take risks and to be different. She dances. She's visually interesting; she's got costumes. And she's a great musician.''
On his favorite TV show of the year''I haven't been up on my media all that much. I watched True Blood, that's probably my favorite show. I just love the tone of it. I really like what they're saying. In many ways, they're talking about our current civil rights issues, but the under the guise of they're vampires. It's really sexy. The actors are fantastic. The storylines are captivating. I just love that show.''

Reviews
MTV: "Dressed in a slim-fitting gray suit (with strange, black, blobby detailing on the shoulder), a pompadour and saddle shoes, Lambert busted out with a beautifully sung, toned-down performance of his Pink-and-Max-Martin-penned tune. Instead of the theatrics he employed at the American Music Awards last month, Lambert used his voice to keep everyone entertained."
Actress Archives: "Lambert delivered some of the best vocals we've heard from him since his "Idol" days...perhaps he finally remembered that it was insane vocals that America fell in love with. The only stunts he's really gotta pull involve hitting those high notes flawlessly."
Rock Star Weekly: "So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley declared "Adam Lambert, an amazing voice" after the performance to an enthusiastic audience. Loud cheers and screams could be heard throughout the performance from the enthusiastic crowd supporting Lambert and his band. Unlike most of the other talk shows and morning shows, the SYTYCD stage was large and gave the fans a chance to see a little more of his band in action, which features guitarist Monte Pittman, who is known for his guitar work with Madonna."
EW: "The SYTYCD stage was just right for baby bear, setting-wise. In smaller TV studios, it’s probably more difficult to truly belt it out without looking like a total loon; plus, I always get paranoid that particularly high-energy humans are constantly about to crash into the machines. Give the man with the burnt toilet paper shoulder pad his space!"
