I bought a pretty amazing phone back in August. It's an Android. So I can go to YouTube, be on Facebook, watch movies, and do all kinds of wonderful things with it while I pretend to be working. Today I was browsing videos on YouTube, when YOU KNOW WHO comes up in my "Recommended Videos". Yes. I'm talking about Adam Lambert. The Bowie Medley. Good God. I had almost forgotten about that. Which is sad, because seeing Adam perform The Bowie Medley live was probably one of my all time favorite moments in life. So right now, I want you all to take a few minutes and enjoy this video with me :)

Heh.. not really. I started a full time job back in May and then just completely lost the ability to keep up with everything going on with Adam Lambert. To be honest, I turn the radio onto another station whenever "Whataya Want From Me" comes on now. I guess I just got tired of it (and Adam, kinda.) I do apologize to anyone who was a fan of this site! I had a great time running it and following Adam news for over a year, and I'm disappointed that I lost my focus and interest. There's just not enough time for me to do anything with this anymore.

In case you didn't know, Pink wrote this song, and in the video she gives a cute introduction about how she wrote it and found a guy to sing it way better than she could. Haha. The whole crowd sings along, it is awesome! (Apparently, the song will be part of her set list for the entire tour!)

Why Wasn't Adam At The Idol Finale?

This is a question many people have been asking this week. I know that most of us know all about it already, but as an Adam Lambert fansite, I feel obligated to share my opinion on the situation (even if its old news).

First, gossip sites were saying that Adam Lambert failed to report to American Idol finale dress rehearsal, which resulted in him being removed from the lineup. Clearly they were mistaken, as Adam quickly jumped on Twitter to defend the accusations...

HAHA. I have now just been made aware of more gossip and rumormill: First of all, i was never asked to appear on the finale in any capacity.

2nd: I DID come down w a throat bug most likely caught on my flight back from this past weekends' concert in Boston.
I was put on vocal rest yesterday from MY show's rehearsals which doubled the work 2 do 2day since all equip. had 2 be sent back east tonight.
sad that Im forced to defend myself bout situation no one pointing fingers knew any factual details about. Im working so hard on this tour!!
All i ever heard was:"you've not been asked to perform on finale.Would you like to sit in the audience?" Me:sorry-Too much work to do today.
Sick of certain journalists and jealous people in the industry trying to stir up bullshit drama. Must not be getting laid. GET A LIFE! HAHA

2nd May Adam was on Summeri during his visit in Finland (it was aired on May 23rd). The interview is hilarious! He tasted sima (traditional drink in Finland) and tippaleipä (also traditional food) and also tried to pronounce some Finnish words! I think the funniest part is when he messes up with 'kiitos' (= thank you) and 'Summeri' and ends up saying Kiitteri ;D

Fan Experience: Meeting Adam In Finland

As I mentioned several days ago, Pihla, a writer for this website, got a chance to see and meet Adam Lambert when he performed at the Stockmann mall in Finland! Here is her recap of the event:

I went to Stockmann around 12, just before it opened. There were A LOT of people waiting already and I'm so happy that I went early because two hours before it started, there were already about 500 fans. Adam was supposed to come at 4 pm. It was a little painful to wait but I talked with some other fans so it was pretty fun.

About an hour before they started to play For Your Entertainment from huge stereos. It was amazing when fans started to sing along. I'm glad that people who didn't know Adam's music were able to hear it there.

My sister showed up there also because I had asked her to shoot the event with my camera. I was sure that I wouldn't be able to even hold the camera...

Then, after being introduced, Adam showed up. Over 1000 fans started screaming and it was CRAZY. Adam said that he was happy because so many fans came and he would've liked to chat with everyone but since there was so little time he had to be quick. When Adam started, they started to play Whataya Want From Me and it was amazing when all the fans sang along. After about ten people it was my turn get my autograph. Adam smiled at me when I walked there and he said "Hi!". He signed my notebook and I had a chance to say - in ten seconds - stuff like thank you for coming and everything. He also thanked me for coming and waved when I left. My hands and legs were shaking and my throat was dry after all the screaming.

But I was so freaking happy! I still can't believe it really happened. Adam seemed so warm, open, and down to earth. He smiled the whole time and made the fans feel so special.

And about the notebook - I call it my "Inspiration Notebook". I've written all kinds of stuff there when I'm inspired. Adam is one of the sources of my inspiration so now the notebook is complete! :)

The music video for "If I Had You" by Adam Lambert was filmed on Wednesday. The shoot was described in a casting call as “…set in a dark but beautiful forest, where we experience a surreal light show, similar to the Northern Lights of Norway. We are here for an artistic gathering of all types of people, to socialize, dance and party while taking in this display of beauty and mystery.” Bryan Barber directed the video, and it will feature appearances from "people who can fire eat, fire breath, fire juggle, fire twirl, etc." Sounds toasty! Adam Lambert spoke with MTV News on the red carpet at the GLAAD Media Awards and they asked him who his favorite Season 9 contestant was: "There's some amazing voices this year. I think Crystal [Bowersox], Casey [James], Lee [Dewyze] and Michael [Lynche], for me, those four really stand out as authentic, pure, amazing vocals."

He also hopes to come back for the finale! "I hope to come back for the finale. Unfortunately, I'm going to be gone for 'Idol Gives Back.' I leave this Sunday. I'm going to be in Europe for three weeks, promoting my album. ... It comes out in the U.K. at the end of the month, and I'm so excited to see how it does over there."

But, because of the volcanic eruption in Iceland, and pretty much all of the flights in Europe being canceled, he didn't make it over there. KI55andTELL tweeted that they are trying to get him there on Thursday... "SONYUK: Latest update is that we’re trying to get him in for Thursday and the flight is a possibility."

He also had this to say about his upcoming tour: "The Glam Nation Tour is going to be very theatrical. People won't be let down in the glam department; it'll definitely be something to look at as well as listen to."

About his upcoming single, "If I Had You,": "It's a great song — really fun, upbeat, joyful. And the message in the song is really exciting, because basically what it's saying is no matter what color your skin is, no matter what religion you are, no matter what your sexuality is, no matter what your age is, we can all party together. We can all find common love. And all this other stuff — money, success, fortune, fashion, glam — it's all great, but it doesn't mean anything if you're not connecting. ... I love it." Adam Lambert confirmed a few hours ago via Twitter that Allison Iraheta and Orianthi will be the opening acts for this summer's "Glam Nation Tour" and I could NOT be more excited. Adam and Allison were my Top Two favorites all through Season 8 of American Idol. I even named my guinea pig (that was born in June) Adison.

The LA Times Idol Tracker just made this fantastic post about the Top 9's (minus Tim/Turban) favorite "Adam moments".

Siobhan Magnus: "Just meeting him was incredible; his presence is really big and he's just so positive and genuinely kind. He said he would figuratively be throwing glitter at me, and I felt it up there."

Lee DeWyze: "Last season, he was amazing. There's too many [performances] to pick, but when he was mentoring us, he was really honest, which is really good for me. He told me exactly what he thought about my song, and what he thought I should do with it. It was really cool for me to hear him be that honest."

Crystal Bowersox: "Having Adam tell me that he wouldn't change anything about the song, that was really, really cool coming from someone who's a great entertainer, and then we talked about lighting and presentation. I got some good info out of him."

Katie Stevens: "I loved when Adam sang 'Feeling Good' last year. That was one of my favorite songs. He came down the stairs and all cool, and with the light in the background and it got bigger and he did his whole riffing crazy ridiculous chops thing. Idol Producers Set Ground Rules For Adam's AI Performance

According to Popeater, Idol producers have set some strict guidelines for Adam Lambert's performance on tonight's American Idol results show.

"'Idol' does not want a repeat performance of what Adam did at last year's American Music Awards, where he simulated sex and kissed a male member of his band. The producers are confident that Adam will stick to their rules, however, they are taking no chances and making sure they have a 3-second delay on the live show, just in case Mr. Lambert goes rogue."

It is also being said that Adam does not want to perform in front of the judges, but them being moved is not likely.

Personally, I think that Adam has learned his lesson since the AMA incident.. and knows better than to do anything the network might find inappropriate! Especially on the show that put him where he is today. The delay is unnecessary, and so is any worry. Agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments.

You’ve been all over the world lately. You were in Japan, and now Canada?

It’s non stop. It’s a rollercoaster [laughs]

And yet you were home just in time for the earthquake.

That’s true, yes. I had that day off. I had a wonderful lunch that day. It was like two Mimosas in, and I thought “Is this a really strong Mimosa or am I tripping?”

You’ve got a remix album coming out. When people start remixing your songs, how hands-on are you with that?

There were a couple of remixers that I actually really wanted to work with. Both Brad Walsh and Fonzarelli were people that I had been in touch with. So those were people that I kind of wanted to bring to the table, and then the label brought the other two guys, Bimbo Jones and Jason Nevins. And they’re both such great remixers, so I was really excited about the collection of DJs we had.

You also just did VH1 Unplugged. There’s such intricate production on so much of your album. How much of a challenge was it to rework and strip down your songs?

It’s funny, because certain songs work really well acoustically, based on, like, the melody or the style of the song – and then certain songs on the album really just don’t work acoustically. Some songs on the album are very melodically driven and lyrically driven, and then there’s other ones that are more about a groove, they’re more about a style, a sound, and an energy. So the ones that I’m doing acoustically are the ones that I felt were stronger in that regard, melodically, and not necessarily like dance songs. You couldn’t really do For Your Entertainment acoustically. It didn’t quite translate. It’s more of a club song.

Why did you choose If I Had You for your next single?

What I like about it is I think it’s really high energy, I think it’ll get people dancing, it’s really great for the summer. I love the blend of pop and rock on it. I definitely think the verses have this kind of great pop dance beat kind of feel, but then you hit the chorus, and even more so in the bridge, we have all these guitars and all this kind of indie guitar thing going on underneath it, so it’s kind of a blend of two different styles, which I love.

And I like the sentiment. I like what it’s saying. I think it’s a positive message, and I think that we have a lot of music right now that’s really fierce and sexy and fun and dramatic, but I just thought I did that with For Your Entertainment, and then with Whataya Want From Me it’s a little bit emo, a little bit kind of emotive and reflective, and I thought for my third single, it would be good to do something joyful and positive. And basically the theme of the song, as I’m sure you could kind of find in the lyric, is that no matter how much my lifestyle is fabulous, no matter how much money I’m making, no matter how much I’m traveling, if I don’t have a connection with somebody, or with people in general, it’s worthless. I really think it’s a great message. I think that’s something that needs to be reinforced, is that in this age of pop escapism, love kind of still needs to remain at the center of everything.

A lot of people, once they’re done with Idol, they don’t want to ever go near it again because they just want to sink or swim on their own and be out of the shadow. But I guess you don’t feel that way, since you’re going back.

I definitely don’t feel that way. I think Idol’s amazing. It’s a phenomenon. As an artist, that’s the reason why I wanted to audition is because of the type of exposure you could get and how you get to challenge yourself every week to try to make a song your own, and to show what you can do. And I think that if it weren’t for Idol, I have strong doubts that I would have ever been signed to a record label, first of all. I just think I was a little too left of center for a typical record executive to probably look at it and go, “Oh, that guy, let’s hire him, let’s sign him” [laughs].

I think with Idol, I owe everything that’s happened thus far to Idol and to the audience that supported me on it. So I love the idea of going back and kind of getting to perform my hit single on there and giving everybody a show. And then when they asked me to be a mentor I thought ‘cool, that sounds great.’ When I watched the past couple of years before auditioning for it, I always had ideas, I always had my own kind of opinions about the contestants. My friends and I at Wicked would sit backstage and argue about which one was the best one and why. I’m a pretty opinionated guy, so I think it’ll be really fun. I also had some experience last year during the show helping some of the other contestants, just bouncing ideas. So I think it’s something that I want to do to try to just help, you know?

This whole country is so divided right now in so many different ways, and yet I looked at Idol last season and I see these two guys who were complete stereotypical opposites, the small town churchgoer, the homosexual from SoCal, and I always thought the way that you and Kris showed solidarity and unity was a model that the rest of us could learn something from. Am I reading too much into that?

That’s a wonderful compliment, and I feel like I hope people could see that, and kind of be inspired by that, because it really shouldn’t frickin’ matter what your background is, what your religion is, what your sexuality is, what your color of your skin is. It’s like we should focus on our similarities as opposed to our differences and learn how to coexist. Kris and I were very different, but we get along great because we were both willing and wanted to and had the desire to get along.

I know it’s way too early to be talking about your next album in any kind of detail, but after going through the whole process of making this album and releasing it, have you had any general thoughts about things you’ll do the same or things you’ll do differently on future records?

I kind of think it’s still a bit too early to tell, to be honest with you. I definitely have people that I want to work with still, and people that I would work with again. I don’t know, I think it’s too early to tell. And that’s something too, is that we’ve just come back from the month long international promo to get the album out around the world, and that’s gonna interpret a lot of what I do next too, you know, cause now the album now is an international album and it’s reaching beyond just our country. So I have to kind of keep all of it in mind.

Your Twitter bio says “prepping for North American summer tour” – are there any more details you can share on that yet?

It’s still kind of all under wraps. I’m kind of coming up with ideas creatively, and the dates are all kind of tentative or being confirmed, that’s why I haven’t announced them yet. It’s gonna be pretty extensive though, as far as how many dates we’re going. And as far as I’m concerned, they aren’t necessarily arenas, but I’m gonna pull out all the stops for the production values as best I can. I think I’m gonna try to make it theatrical, environmental, and interactive, something that people who know the album will love, but then people who don’t know the album will really enjoy it as well. I think it’s gonna be something that’s really atmospheric.

Haha, I just mean he's going to Australia. Will any of you readers be able to hop on a plane in time for this?

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is jetting to Australia for a promotional tour next weekend, which co-incidentally just happens to be the same weekend as an internationally-recognised gay dance party called Mardi Gras.

Lambert, who is forging into new territory as a made-up, proudly gay glam rocker, made worldwide headlines with a same-sex kiss at the American Music Awards last year.

His full itinerary when he lands in Australia on March 5 will be announced today, and includes an in-store appearance at Hum Records on Oxford Street on Saturday March 6 and, if the gods are kind enough, perhaps we’ll see him as the surprise performer at a large event that happens at the Entertainment Quarter on Saturday March 6.

In typically coy fashion, he told the Daily Telegraph today, “I’m hoping someone will ask me to do it [sing at Mardi Gras party]. I’ve been told it’s a blast and it’s probably be something I’d enjoy.”

On Susan Boyle, who kept him off the top spot in the charts:

“I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible. Wild Horses is the one that just made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”

On his sexuality overshadowing his career:

“Out here they dub me ‘openly gay singer, Adam Lambert’ and never just Adam Lambert. Whether or not I like it I have to own that. In the big picture and in the long run this is important. I didn’t ask for this, I’m not trying to be any sort of flag bearer, but if that’s the case then I have to accept it.”

Adam Feels Bad About Calling Out A Fan

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Adam Lambert says he feels a little remorse for calling out a female fan who chose to engage in a cell phone conversation while he was on stage performing recently.

“I feel bad,” Adam told Access Hollywood on Thursday. “I didn’t mean to make her feel bad.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the incident happened while Adam was performing “Whataya Want From Me” for iheartradio in New York City.

“I was trying to record an acoustic song. We were recording the concert and it was very quiet and intimate and she was in the third row, quite loud on her cell phone,” Adam recounted on Thursday. “I just told her to please get off of it because I [couldn’t] concentrate.”

The crowd supported Adam’s move, cheering the singer on, and it appears the cell phone caller did too.

“I think ultimately she called into the radio station and said she was fine with it,” he said. “I made sure afterwards to kind of blow her a kiss and like, make amends.

“I didn’t want to really embarrass her,” Adam continued. “For that moment she needed to be a little embarrassed and she needed to learn that lesson and I’m glad.”
